I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor and have worked for Mind, the NHS and in private practice since 2007. My main way of working is psychodynamic psychotherapy although I also include mindfulness and CBT when appropriate.
What is psychodynamic psychotherapy?
Psychodynamic therapy is a collaborative process in which a therapist and client work together to understand a client’s current concerns. Whilst exploring these concerns with their client, a psychodynamic therapist will work with the understanding that some difficulties arise from repeating patterns of behaviour or creating relationships in a similar way from a young age.
My background is in marketing where I worked for many years before training as a psychotherapist in 2005.
